Will you be able to retire?

What's that?  I think we might be able to, but it wouldn't be a 100% retirement. I believe my husband and I will always have to have some money coming in. Odd jobs, crafts etc.

I just don't know.

  1. If I continue to work, not only will we be able to retire, we'll be able to do so at our current standard of living. It might actually make life easier because a good portion of our income goes to saving for our future and for cars/gas to go to work. If you aren't working, you have more time to cut corners too.

The key for us is to stay healthy and continue to save. Obamacare will help too as we will be able to retire in our early sixties and afford insurance until we are eligible for medicare. I am actually fairly optimistic about our future!

    1. Good for you! Sounds like you did what it takes - Consider yourself blessed. So many are not prepared.

As it stands now, I believe we will be able to retire in about 10 years. However if inflation continues to go upward, it's anyone's guess. Right now we do have a military pension, and when my husband retires, he will have a State pension as well. Health care for us, unless this changes, is through the military.

I never count on anything except death and taxes! :-)
