It’s a bench grinder! I keep calling it a belt grinder. It sharpens lawn tools, and knives, etc.
Anyway, a neighbor moved it outside and marked it FREE. Nothing wrong with it other than it’s older. It works fine. It was given to the neighbor as payment for services rendered and he never really used it much.
The husband wanted one - they are around $200.
He was just about to purchase one...
The sharpening stone is good.
SAVED $200.
Today I noticed an $89.95 charge from Good Sam on my checking account. We haven’t had Good Sam roadside assistance since we got rid of our motor home. That's been a few years.
So I called Good Sam and they canceled it. It PAYS to always check your account.
SAVED $89.95
Then I checked my Electric company and noticed they had me on automatic pay. It’s in the middle of the month. I don’t do automatic pay. We get paid at the first of the month - I sit down and pay everything at one time.
So they fixed that. If I hadn’t noticed, quite possibly I would have paid them on the first and then I would have had a SURPRISE in the middle of the month.
So ALWAYS check and double-check your payment preferences if you pay online like I do.
SAVED a second utility payment approx $350.00
Total savings $639.95
Good deal! Wow, on your utility payment. Ours is about $140.00 a month (1,200 sf house) in the Summer with the A/C blastin'. Things are cheaper in rural Georgia, I guess.
ReplyDeleteI wish we could find a small motorhome (14-17 foot) in good shape that's affordable. It would be fun to travel around the country again.
Blessings. xx
Actually my electric bill is going down. During the height of summer I’m paying close to $400. It’s dropping now which means my gas bill will start getting higher.
DeleteGood lessons! My hubby has a bench grinder and uses it often.
ReplyDeleteMy husband can’t wait to use it. We’re having a fairly wet storm right now which is good but not a good time to start using this.
DeleteOh yeah free is good................
ReplyDeleteI’ll take free any day
