Rain and "cat" naps

Pacifica - my childhood home - 22 miles south of San Francisco. I remember getting some brutal coastal storms -

The "historic" storm never materialized up here but did settle in over the bay area and Sacramento as seen above.

We also received a fair amount of rain but it will take more than that, to fill our reservoirs. It's a good start anyway. I'm glad we did not get any of those high winds. I don't like the wind. We had creeks overflowing and street and backyard type of flooding but as of now, my sump pump in the back yard has done it's job.

My sweet Susie and I laid down for a nap together. Tomorrow is the first surgery on my cataracts. The right eye is the first.  I'll be happy when this is all said and done. Of course, that inches me closer to the bigger of the surgeries - the rotator cuff on Nov 29. I sure hope this is it for me. The new improved me, will bring in the New Year with hope and less pain. Then I can start swimming once again.

  3. I had great luck with my cataract surgeries and hope the same for you. We have had tons of rain. And wind. The dead tree in my neighbor's yard that I complained to my township about back in July is now lying on my fence. The b---- at the town hall told me that this is America and we can't force someone to cut down a dead tree. Right. Better it should have landed on my roof and killed me in my bed. Okay. No more ranting on your blog. Good luck with the surgery.

    1. LOL, oh Denise you are so funny. But I get it. I wouldn't like a dead tree up against my fence either.

  7. I hope all goes well with your surgery, Debby, and you heal nicely. I'm glad you got
a good amount of rain in your area. We had heavy rain for awhile, and I was so
glad. Your little Susie looks all cozy laying there. I just got up from a nap, so naps
    are familiar to me haha.

ps.....it was so nice to hear that you were a stay-at-home mom as well, and you even
did daycare in your home. It was the best decision I ever made. ; )

    1. I like an occasional nap - in fact I like naps better than my evening sleep. So I've had to cut them down or skip them altogether.
