Covid? Flu? Bad Cold?

I wouldn’t know. Wednesday I had to report to jury duty - I started feeling weird. I was able to plead my case to the judge and he postponed me till June. It was a criminal case and expected to take around 2 weeks.

By the time I got home I was sick. I had to cancel my PT for Thursday. I got a covid test at a drive through - 2 days but they admitted since they are backlogged it could take close to a week. That really irritates me.

So I have cancelled Monday’s PT as well.

I have fever, coughing, horrible body aches, extremely fatigued. I can still smell and taste food. The rapid test cost $140 which I won’t pay. My husband was tested too.

I don’t understand the discrepancy of prices for the rapid tests. Plus I was so sick and had to do everything on my phone and answer all these questions. I’m on MediCare but after filling it all out and it wouldn’t go through they told me to put down that I was uninsured. Whatever.

What a complete circus.

Update.

  1. If you're sick, you've got it.
If you're not sick, you don't have it.

    1. The only reason we even tested was because of physical therapy. Anyway we took the free route - of course I’ll be all better by the time the results are in.

    1. I was really hoping I wouldn’t get it. Still don’t know - it’s probably a bad flu even though I always get my flu shot. Last flu I had was 2019. That was a butt-kicker like this one.

  4. I am so sorry you have this bug. My hubby and I have it also, and we put off getting tested until almost a week went by, but then we found out we were still positive. Thankfully our medicare advantage plan HMO provided rapid testing at our Dr.'s office, and then a goody bag filled with vitamins, medicines, supplies, etc., We were amazed! The main thing is, stay hydrated, keep on the move and don't let your lungs get lazy...move around. Get some antibiotics and steroids if they give them to you. Take vitamin D, C, and zinc. REST REST REST. Oh, and take tylenol for fever. Prying for you now.

  5. Debby, I hope you and your husband don't have the virus. And I hope you feel better. I hear you can get the tests at some of the stores, but not sure. Feel better.
