The sofa and loveseat are in place - they look nice.
If I were to purchase lamps, I would like this one. It's not going to happen though - I'd like to at least see what I can come up with creatively by using my old lamps (which used to belong to my parents)

My son Navy texted me -
"Mom did I have chicken pox?"
I think so.
Yeah, you did. I remember it was going around and all the neighborhood moms wanted to expose you guys. So YES, you had it.
Why?
"I'm waiting for the doctor - but we think I have shingles."
You're kidding?
He sends me a photo.
Definitely looks like shingles.
"Mom, yep I got shingles."
"Mom, I thought Shingles was an old person's disease."
I went to the pharmacy to pick up his medication for him which should slow the progression. I called public health just to make sure and we're fine -we both had our 2 doses of Shingrix. He says his shoulder was hurting then the pain got more intense along with a bad headache. He's feeling fatigued.
So he's off work for the rest of the week.
I never had chicken pox and was exposed to it many times.

Oh, I'm so sorry your son has that, Debby. I heard it was awful and hurts. I hope he feels better soon. I'm glad you like your new sofa and loveseat, and Yes, with the lamp! - that's pretty cool. I like the base of it. Your cat seems to be enjoying his new space on the sofa (yes, the video came through on the post).

I talked to him last night and the blisters have moved to under his arm - twisting around his right side. He says the nerve pain is nauseating.
DeleteFrom what I hear shingles is not fun. My sister had her first case when she was nursing her first born so let Navy know there was someone at age 23 that got it.... She has had it numerous times, which really shocks the doctors.

DeleteI see your new sofa even matches your kitty! I had shingles earlier this year. But if you get the medicine soon enough, it really helps it go away quickly. I love these lamps, and would not be able to resist them. They are a beautiful match for your new furnoture.

Wow so many have had shingles. Glad I never had it. I do feel so bad for my kid, though.
DeleteI feel for your son dealing with shingles. I have heard from others that got them it is extremly painful. I am of the age that I need to get the shingles shots and have been lazy about it. This is a good reminder for me to get that done.
