Morning walk

Left my house to take a morning walk - with temps in the morning around 70, it is pleasant.

Up and out to the road -

Some neighbors go all out for Halloween.

They turned their front yard into a graveyard.

These guys were huge!

The husband is mowing the lawn and I just got back from Costco and Winco where I dropped around $150 which normally would have only cost me around $75-80.

My store is stocking brands I don't recognize - but they are a less expensive option. At Costco, I did break down and bought some Tiramisu.

We need to purchase gas for the car - we haven't had to in 2 months. We're at a half tank so better to do it now than when it gets empty. We're still paying anywhere from $5-7.00 a gallon depending on where in town you purchase. Closer to the Interstate is top dollar. I always check gas buddy

Tonight we are going to the annual Pow Wow.
I'll be sure to take photos. We decided to go in the evening because we're still in the 90s and quick frankly I am so SICK of it I could spit!  From the forecast, it looks like 90+ for the next 10 days. The only saving grace is the lows - the mornings and evenings are nice.

Have a great Friday!

  1. Morning walks are great.
At the Shop and Save where we shop you get cents of at the gas station across the street. We paid 3.75 for gas!

    1. Yeah I know - gas is always cheaper outside of California. I’m no longer shocked. Lol

  2. Your walk looks lovely, even with the giant skeletons.

    God bless.

  3. Dearest Debby,
Your walk seems to have been perfect; looking at the sky—one can tell what kind of weather it was.
Don't care for any of the Halloween craze... what a waste of money and it all ends up in the garbage one day! Not a very sustainable way of life.
We had quite a drop in temperature due to Ian coming closer; from mid 80°F to mid 60°F...
It will warm up again in a couple of days so we can bike again.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

    1. Halloween is big business. I don’t remember it ever being this big when I was a kid.

    2. No Debby, it did not exist when we were kids... they invented it for the sake of $$$. Never mind all the trash it creates—greed makes them look the other way.

  4. This sounds like a fun event. I hope you have a good time. Yes, some people do Halloween up, but here in the mountains, not so much. Lots of candy and stuff n the stores right now though. Your morning walk sounds peaceful. And your yard is so green, pretty.

    Have a splendid weekend, Debby.

  5. It is really beautiful where you live. I love the mountains in the view.

Your neighbors really have created a nice Halloween. I'm not terribly fond of the holiday. However, there are a lot of folks here that get carried away with decorating too. I guess it is the kid in all of us.

    Enjoy the pow wow.
