Happy Autumn

Yesterday was the first day, but with so much going on, I forgot to make mention of my favorite time of the year.

I've always loved this time while living in the San Francisco area. Many believe because of our mild temperatures, that we don't really get 4 seasons of weather. But we do! Our Fall is a Indian summer. Usually get some of our warmest temperatures. In fact if I were to pick the best time of the year to visit San Francisco, I would have to say Oct!

The trees change a little - California style. Sometimes they change a lot in the way of forest fires. This can be a critical time of year, after a dry summer - hot temperatures and low humidity creates that perfect environment for forest fire.

I'm living in the north state now. The biggest town, north of Sacramento. Redding. It gets HOT here all summer. Today it is 104. I am so hoping for cooler temperatures soon. It is hard to get out and garden or paint the exterior of the house, because of the heat.

It should be soon - that temps will start to level off and hover back and forth between the 70's and 90's.
