Fawn Fire - this morning

Great way to start the day - Get up this morning to this on our phones. We are just outside of the evacuation area. We are 13 miles from the origin of the fire and the fire is moving east. It started last night - human-caused. They have made an arrest.

When we went to bed last night it was 50 acres.

It exploded overnight to 800 acres.

Fire planes are flying over and will be a very busy day - we are getting smoke.

My husband's good buddy lives right there.

So far so good for him and his wife and their horses.

It's always unnerving when it is so close. But I do have confidence and knowing the area - we, at our house, should be fine. We do live within the city limits - however just outside our subdivision is rural and there are ranches and farms.

Praying for Richard and his family and everyone else.

  1. People who start fires should just be thrown into them. It's crazy that they put lives at risk.

    1. I agree. Some chick from Pali Alto - a rich area of the Bay Area. What is she doing up here?

  4. Wow, that fire sure exploded. I hope that you stay safe and do not have to be evacuated due to shifts in the wind direction.

    God bless.

    1. We’re ready to go when we get the notice. Meanwhile we wait. It’s going to be a stressful night and next few days. The fire is exploding and spreading fast.

  5. Wow! Not living in an area with wildfires, it's hard for me to imagine how things can change so much overnight. Stay safe! Praying it's out soon.
