Happy April 1

Don't you just love the feeling of starting fresh every time a new month rolls around? And when it happens to be a Monday? It's the perfect combination of motivation and energy to kickstart your goals and dreams for the month.

So this morning I finally got back to my morning strolls that I had neglected for the entire month of March. It was tough with the weather being so unpredictable and also getting over whatever mystery illness I had, but I'm glad I finally found the motivation to start walking again!

The beautiful, sunny weather helped.

This vacant lot is at the end of my subdivision. Apparently years ago when this place was first established, the city and builders promised a park would be here. For whatever reasons, it keeps getting put on the back shelf.

Meanwhile it makes a nice dog park even though it is not - everybody takes their dogs here to run. It's Laydee's favorite place.

I always have to have a photo of a tree -

Today is a nice 75-degree day—it just couldn't be prettier. But it won't last. I heard we may get some rain on Wednesday.

This morning after my stroll, I went to get a pedicure. I have to have my toes painted, or I won't wear sandals. So that was a nice relaxing hour - she massaged my feet and legs. I chose a denim blue for my nail color.

For lunch, I reheated the homemade refried beans I had made on Saturday in my crock pot with our enchiladas and deep-fried some corn tortillas in triangles since I was too lazy to go to the store to buy a bag. Anyway, these tasted much better and since I had a lot of corn tortillas that needed to be used up.

It was a tasty yet filling lunch!

So today starts the A-Z challenge that I worked very hard on it and would appreciate your support.

Today's A - post is called, Meet the Ancestors.

If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be here today.

I hope everyone is enjoying the first day of April.

  3. Your weather sounds much better than ours. We have had rain the last two days, and tonight there is a threat for severe weather and/or tornados. Sigh. I had go look up what the A-Z challenge was about.

  6. Lovely photos, why do they keep pushing a park to the back burner, I am sure there is some stupid answer. I don't like beans, just thought I would toss that in here.
