My weekend plans

Summertime!

Yes, that's me, at about 1 yr old. My daddy brought me back that hat from Korea and I loved that hat - I sure wish I had it today - it would make an awesome gardening hat. This was on a Virginia Beach. My dad was stationed at Fort Eustis, VA.

I was a fat baby - through no fault of my own. The more active I became, the more I started slimming down. At one point, I was told that my parents thought I would end up being 6ft tall, 250 lbs by the time I was 18.

Thank God that didn't happen.

The husband and Foodie will leave out after lunch. Then it's MY HOUSE.

I was so excited, that last night I couldn't sleep - I kept thinking of everything I wanted to do. Honestly, I won't have time to do even half of it. The last time I remember it was 1:00 am!

I also had swollen feet for some reason - that were bothering me as well as a restless leg that just wouldn't settle down. My husband has restless leg syndrome on both legs and he jerks the bed - if I don't get to sleep before him, it makes it hard to get to sleep. Last night, I didn't even notice his jerking movements - I was coping with my own.

Today I plan to paint an old bookcase that I had in the garage, that I cleaned up and will place it in my closet. I don't use a dresser for my clothes. My closet is fairly minimalistic - I gave my husband the bigger closet because the larger one overwhelmed me. I have fit everything in a smaller closet and tried to make it organized. I'm trying to get him to give up his chest of drawers and use containers in his large closet - he has the room but he's still stuck on having to have a chest. I like my bedroom to be free of a lot of furniture.

I figure painting and cleaning out the closet will probably take me all day.

Tomorrow I want to go to Dollar Tree - and check out some stuff. I have the Elvis movie at 3pm and when that is over, I plan to get take-out at my favorite Mexican restaurant for my dinner.

Saturday is the Food Bank Commodities that I pick up for Margie. When I drop off her food, I usually sit and chat with her for a little bit. I also hope to catch up on some phone calls.

Not to mention, all the outside chores I need to do - watering the plants, picking up dog poop, etc. Plus wrestling with Laydee - getting her to take her pills.

  1. Sounds like you will be kept pretty busy on your own.
I usually make a list when I'm on my own which is huge and no way I could get it all done, but still I like to make the list. :)
Cute picture of you on the beach with your mom.

  2. First, what is the beautiful red flower in your first photo? You will have to let us know if you got everything accomplished; that is a big order!
