My A-Z theme reveal

AtoZChallenge theme reveal 2024 #atozchallenge

Hey all - I had some time to jump on over here - I wouldn't want you all to forget about me. While I'm here I will plug the A-Z April Challenge.

I posted my theme reveal here -

Now for those who are curious and might be interested - it is fun. You post in April - Monday through Sat with Sundays off. The letter A would be posted on April 1, B on April 2 - and so on and so forth. But even better than that, are the neat new blogs you come across.  Good reads = new blog friends and acquaintances.
The A-Z April prompts are good for me and my 70-year-old brain - plus I enjoy writing.

This wasn't required - just for those of us who already had a theme and wanted to "reveal it". At last count, there were 66 blogs listed.

Signing up for the theme reveal does not sign you up for the main April Blogging from A to Z Challenge-- that form will be available from March 25 until April 7. There are different categories of blogs - from Genealogy to Home Decorating, Travel, Personal, Book Reviews, Author writings, Mythology and Folklore, Children's stories, History, Humor, Lifestyle, Entertainment, Animals, Nature and Outdoors, Randon blogging and Miscellaneous.

Last year 232 bloggers joined in this April challenge.

Currently, I only have 4 posts scheduled.  Yikes, I'm running behind. But no biggie and definitely no stress or it wouldn't be fun or beneficial. No one is policing me and if I don't get a post out, I'm not going to sweat it.

I'll be back over here once I have scheduled my April posts. Then I can relax. This was something I really wanted to do this year after putting it off for the last few years. I figured I was 70 and I'm going to do it!

So, go check out the links - go over and read my theme reveal. And maybe you will decide to join up.

While I have you all here - Some UPDATES

Nothing is going on. The weather has warmed up nicely but we're supposed to have some more rain next week. I hate to admit this but I'm starting to get sick of the rain.
After so many years of drought, all we prayed and hoped for was RAIN. And honestly,

I  am  Grateful - BUT ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Hope you all have a Happy St Patrick's Day -

I caved in and bought a beautiful 5  lb piece of corned beef brisket at the butcher today. We were going to go to the American Legion for their $13 per person plate but I thought, I could spend $20 for a corned beef - cut it in half and freeze it and cook the other half that we can eat off and have sandwiches through the week. My husband really likes his corned beef sandwiches on Swedish rye!

  3. It's awful how much corned beef is now. We're skippin' it this year. Glad you're doing OK and had some rain. God has blessed us with lots of the wet stuff too. I'm always joyful about that.
    Blessings. 💙

    1. For $20 we ate 2 full meals and sandwiches for 1 day of lunch. Less than $5 per person in comparison to eating out. It was tasty!

  4. I thought for some reasons that you could only post about family trees. Not at all sure where I got that idea from. Have fun.

    God bless.

  6. Corn beef sandwiches sound really good. Have fun with the a-z posts. I used to join in on various posts when first blogging, but now I just like creating a post when I want, and visiting blogs that I like on my time. Yours is one of them! So glad you weren't away for long. : )

    1. Debby, you're very perceptive about the dog. Whenever anyone passes or drives by, he's barking away - can be protective, but at the same time, I've been told he's a very good and gentle dog. Sounds like you know your dogs. ; ) I really miss having one. I just don't want to have to train a pup. But they are loyal companions, aren't they?

    2. Yes dogs are loyal. I don’t think we’ll do a “puppy” again but we did rescue a senior dog that was just hours from being put down. A German shepherd mix, Daisey was a lover and just wanted a family. She had been a homeless dog. She stayed with us 2 years - and was one of the best dogs. I have a heart for senior dogs and cats.

  7. Never done an A-Z to much work for this brain and thinking of those sandwiches made me think of my dad he really like silverside with pickles sandwiches (silverside is corn beef)

    1. I’ve done a few in the past. I am finding that this one is challenging. I’ll be glad when I’m done.
BTW our corned beef was one of the best I’ve ever had - so tender and lean.

  9. Doing the February Photo A Day posts that I do stress me most of the time. This year I managed to stay a week ahead but sometimes it's a struggle to come up with something. Good luck and looking forward to seeing your posts!
