Apples and a shade Pagoda

Yesterday drove out to the Apple Festival.

A beautiful morning.

No smoke - the air was clear, clean, and fresh with the aroma of apples everywhere.

It seemed like everyone was rejoicing after a summer filled with smoke and fire.

Enjoyed some apple pie - watched some good old-fashioned fiddling by a new generation.

I had a tamale - walked around, looked at the wares the vendors were offering. 2020 was a bad year for them as well, with so many festivals canceled. (Due to Covid)

We came upon this Bamboo Pagoda - a shade shelter. I want one.

It was large; very large and shaded the 90+ degree temps well.

I received my Autumn FIX for the day...

not really. Can't get enough of Fall.

We hope to take a drive up to Manzanita Lake Tuesday for some Fall colors.

  1. The Pagoda looks like some alien space craft. *lol* Should be easy to make? Y'all can put one in the back yard. Scare the neighbors. *giggle*
I so enjoy the smell of apples. There's a town in the Texas Hill Country called Medina that specializes in everything apples. We rode our motorbikes through there several times on various vacations. I love that whole area. Could totally live there and ride around on those roads every day. When y'all start camping again, might wanna check it out: https://hillcountryportal.com/medina.html There's a wonderful campground at Lost Maples in the Texas Hill Country too. If you like nature, it's the place to be.
I hope your temps are cooler soon.
    Blessings. xx

  3. What an interesting pagoda. I think it is just lovely, and don't blame you at all for wanting one.

    God bless.

  5. I'm glad the air cleared up for you finally! All the events around here are always packed with people because everything was cancelled last year. It's good to have places to go again and I'm happy for those venders too.
