Just a few more before I cut them all down. Only a handful remain.
They had a hard summer.
Smoke and extreme heat -
Drought.
They did well enough but many of the different varieties that I planted did not come up.
There's always next year

Every year, I'm going to plant sunflowers. Maybe next year I will. This summer has passed super fast.

DeleteBeautiful photos. Giant Sunflowers are my favorites. I have several artificial decorations of this lovely flower in the house and I plant the real thing in the yard every year. The critters love them too as I let them take the seeds as they please. :)

I usually plant many different varieties so I can have them throughout the summer and into Fall. The Russian Mammoth are also my favorites, but then again I love them all each and in their own way. Lets just say, I am really into sunflowers!
